- Mobistar enables automatic configuration of MMS and other services on your Sony Ericsson Xperia X8.
- It is also possible to manually set up MMS and other services on your Sony Ericsson Xperia X8.
- An internet connection is required to send and receive MMS messages. Use the menu at the left to choose the relevant instructions. Continue with the MMS configuration.
- Start screen.
- Choose the arrow symbol.
- Choose Settings.
- Choose Wireless controls.
- Choose Mobile networks.
- Choose Acces Point Names.
- Remove all current APN settings except Mobile internet by choosing the APN, choosing the menu key, and choosing Delete APN.
- Choose the menu key, and choose New APN.
- Choose Name, enter MMS, choose Done, and then OK.
- Choose APN, enter mms.be, choose Done, and then OK.
- Choose Username, enter nothing, choose Done, and then OK.
- Choose Password, enter nothing, choose Done, and then OK.
- Choose MMSC, enter http://mmsc.mobistar.be, choose Done, and then OK.
- Choose MMS proxy, enter 212.065.063.143, choose Done, and then OK.
- Choose MMS port, enter 8080, choose Done, and then OK.
- Under MCC, enter 206, choose Done, and then OK.
- Under MNC, enter 10, choose Done, and then OK.
- Under APN-type, enter mms, choose Done, and then OK. (Note: in lower case)
- Choose the menu key.
- Choose Save.
- Return to the Start screen.
- Start screen.
- Switch off the Sony Ericsson Xperia X8 and restart it in order to activate the settings.
- Note: Activation is completed by sending a first MMS. Test the settings by sending an MMS to your own phone number.
- If the MMS was sent successfully, you will receive a confirmation within a few minutes.
- Check receipt of the MMS in the messages inbox of the Sony Ericsson Xperia X8.
